Battery Separator, Brake Controller,
Taillight Converter, & Trailer 7-Way Connector.
Stock Engine Bay-
Upgraded battery setup to accommodate new electrical components-
Due to OEM cables having no extra slack and to make everything "OCD" clean I installed Cole Hersee Feeder Studs on aluminum plate. Also, installed Deka 2/0 Jumper Cables and new 4gauge Ground Bonding Strap-
Tip- New larger ground fixed my intermittent problem where alarm/central locking would not always completely flick close certain doors.
New Brass Lugs-
New DieHard 27F Battery and Deka Marine Terminals-
New Cooper Bussmann Battery Disconnect/Master Switch with fused jumper for security/access.-
New Terminal Boots for Studs and Crimp/Shrink Ring Terminals for Fusible Links-
Nice & Clean Blue Sea Systems Terminal Fuse Block-
50amp (8ga.Wire) to Separator, 30amp (10ga.Wire) for Controller and future components.
New Sure Power 1314 Battery Separator mounted offset from firewall on aluminum plate-
Smart Glow Water-Resistant In-Line Fuse Holders on output.
New Battery Neutral/Ground, Accessory Hot, Trailer Charge, Trailer Brake, & Car Stoplight Line-
Stoplight tied-in at Connector ID2 per FSM using T-Tap Connectors.
New Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller-
I mounted controller beneath ashtray as I will not consider drilling/hacking into my dash et cetera; it seemed to be the perfect location and angle to mount it. To put it back to stock; I simply undo wing nuts/remove bracket, unplug connector/tuck behind ashtray-
Looks clean and in easy reach of controller's manual lever-
Ran neutral & hot through to rear corner for future accessories-
Back-Up Light tied-in at R-B wire per FSM using T-Tap Connectors.
Installed Hopkins 43405 Taillight Converter on account of my trailer's integrated brake and turn signals; mounted with cable ties-
Wired over to US DS-
Connected converter and new wiring to Reese 20321 7-Way Connector/Adapter-
Reese 118157 Mounting Box-
Installed Hidden Hitch 80412 Adjustable Ball Mount
(into original Reese 41015 Hitch Receiver)-
Nice and adjustable so when I get a lift I'll just flip this puppy down.
